Qualified Animal Health Advisors (RSQP)

5 of our staff are AMTRA qualified Animal Health Advisors called RSQP's. RSQP is the highest AMTRA qualification and allows the holder to prescribe animal medicines in the category POM.VPS and POM.NFA, which you can find printed on your medicine packaging. This includes medicines for farm animals, horses, pets and poultry.

Our Training and AMTRA

AMTRA stands for Animal Medicines Training and Regulatory Authority.

This is the government recognised training board who are responsible for the content and quality of examinations and to ensure that the quality of advice is up to professional standards. They also monitor the Continual Professional Development studies that we undertake every year to retain our qualification.

Martyn is the elected National Representative for RSQP's on the AMTRA Council.

AHDA (Animal Health Distributors Association)

This national Organisation represents most of the businesses that sell Animal Health Products to farmers, smallholders and companion animal keepers.

The main aim of AHDA is to protect the channels of distribution for our animal medicines. Most EU countries do not enjoy our system of merchants/distributors and have to rely on the Veterinary profession or Pharmacists for the supply of all animal medicines.

Our system, which you enjoy, promotes competition and allows greater access to vps prescription medicines for your business and pets.

We expect the EU commission to challenge our system next year, as they have done before, which could reduce availability and increase prices.

AHDA intends to defend our system of distribution which can only be of benefit to us all.

Martyn has served as Chairman and currently holds office as President of AHDA
